We are lucky to call Sarasota home for many reasons, one of them being the incredible variety of amazing restaurants. Given that there are many dining options available, sometimes it can be difficult answer that typical question: “Where are we going to eat tonight?”

1. Element

Element is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Sarasota. They offer multiple private dining areas, a nice bar, and great outdoor seating perfect for those pleasant Sarasota evenings.

Element takes classic dishes and gives them a modern twist, which is always very exciting to experience. The team is very professional and will make you feel welcome and appreciated. Make sure to ask them about wine pairings with your dishes, as they always have great recommendations.

2. Jack Dusty

Jack Dusty is located at the Ritz-Carlton in Sarasota. Embracing the “pirate” theme (hence the name), you will find interesting elements such as delicious tin-baked bread and a dessert menu presented as a message in the bottle. Jack Dusty is a locals’ favorite, known for its vibrant coastal cuisine, unique craft cocktails and amazing waterfront views.

If the weather is nice, try to get outdoor seating, especially right at sunset. If you prefer drinks & bar snacks, Jack Dusty’s bar is always lively and you will definitely strike up some interesting conversations.

3. Napule

Napule is one of the best traditional Italian restaurants in the area, and after you try some of their dishes, you will agree with us. They use fresh and home-made ingredients and you can really taste the difference with every bite. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, featuring a wood burning owen and old Hollywood movies playing on the projector.

Their pizzas are what they are famous for, but there are so many more exciting dishes on their menu.

4. Duval's

Duval’s is one of the best seafood restaurants in Sarasota, and the one we keep going back to over and over again. From exciting appetizers, so decadent entrees, there are plenty of options for even the pickiest gourmands.

The food is always fresh and well-prepared, with excellent wine and cocktail options. Their desserts are delicious as well. Its convenient location makes it easy for you and your guests to go bar-hopping after a delicious dinner.

5. Meliora

Meliora is a new and exciting addition to Sarasota’s rich restaurant scene. Make sure you make reservations ahead of time, as it is a popular destination. The menu has Japanese influence and it is always evolving, as they offer many delicious seasonal options. There is always some type of a twist – whether it is a decoration or a burst of flavors, you will be delighted. If available, make sure to request a seat at the Chef’s Table for a special dining experience.
